Ronda Rousey was recently on wrestling wives podcast She admitted that she had to warn Becky Lynch about her mother, Anne-Maria de Mars, potentially responding to what was said on TV. Russian and Lynch runner has grown up for months on both TV and social media even WrestleMania 35 Lynch have continued to antagonize the UFC Hall of Famer ever since. But De Mars, the former world champion in judo, told her daughter that anything said about her on WWE programming could eventually lead to violence.
“I think my mom might really love to pull it off and get over it — from someone if someone said something that pissed her off. Like, 100 percent. I had to tell Becky at one point like, ‘Hey Becky.'” I don’t think you can say anything else with my mom, because she might kill you if she saw you. My mom literally said to me, she was like, ‘These guys might pay you for that kind of–no one pays me, if somebody says–about me’ And seeing them in person, I’m going to break their front arm. “
Rousey herself has openly admitted that she has struggled with fan reactions personally. She explained on a Facebook Live in February – “It’s hard not to take it personally from the fans because I go in there as a character, but also, I’m actually Ronda Rousey, I don’t play Ronda Rousey on TV. Sometimes I take it personal from the fans, not other wrestlers a lot.”
She also claimed in the aforementioned interview that the stinging comments she made about fans that she made during her hiatus were while playing with heels. Rossi said, “There are a lot of times where what you think is coming online and what the live audience is expressing are two opposite things. Case in point, Royal Rumble, I’ve left heels off and I’ve been booed from every stadium, and I was like, ‘Okay, so I assumed everyone thought I was still a heel.” And any interviews I had ever had I was talking about – about fans. Like, being a character should I come back, that’s what I assumed I would come back to. When it ended up not being that reaction, I was Really, really surprised.”
